11-year-old Caius lives in an orphanage and keeps bad company. Even if he can’t read very well, he gets a summer job at the Story Newsstand. Caius expects to be selling newspapers and comics, but he doesn’t know that the Story Newsstand is a magical place where anyone can come by to tell their sufferings, ask advice or listen to someone else’s story in exchange. In view of a move, Caius must make a list of all the stories that have passed through. One by one, they all leave him something, from a new passion for reading and writing, to the desire to start over.
